FC Steaua Bucuresti's Romanian title hopes have been dented by an injury to influential midfield player Dorinel Munteanu.

'Bad luck'
The 36-year-old suffered a muscle tear during Sunday's league win against FC Petrolul Ploiesti, which will rule him out for a month. Steaua are two points behind leaders FC Dinamo Bucuresti, with eleven games to play. Coach Victor Piturca said: "We have to live with this bad luck. We just have to think about winning our next game."

International no-go
The injury also ends Munteanu's chances of winning a 120th international cap in Romania's friendly against Germany in Bucharest on 28 April. The veteran spent eight and a half years in the Bundesliga with 1. FC Köln and VfL Wolfsburg.
