Westerhof in place for PSV presidency

PSV Eindhoven have confirmed that Rob Westerhof will succeed Harry van Raaij as club president in September.

PSV Eindhoven have appointed Rob Westerhof as their new club president. The former Sparta Rotterdam player, presently working for club sponsors Philips, will succeed Harry van Raaij, who will stand down from 1 September this year.

A huge advantage
Van Raaij said of his successor: "I know him from Philips and the trip we made with PSV through China [in 2002 in a series of pre-FIFA World Cup friendlies]. He has a footballing background and his strong connection with the club's sponsors Philips will be a huge advantage to the club."
