Sérgio Conceição misses out

FC Porto winger Sérgio Conceição will miss the Portuguese Cup final against SL Benfica after knee surgery.

FC Porto winger Sérgio Conceição will miss Sunday’s Portuguese Cup final against SL Benfica after undergoing knee surgery yesterday.

Right knee
Sérgio Conceição, 29, who rejoined the Portuguese champions from S.S. Lazio earlier this year, injured his right knee as Porto ended their domestic league campaign with a 3-1 win at home to FC Paços de Ferreira on Sunday, stretching their title-winning margin to eight points.

Not eligible
Porto play AS Monaco FC in the UEFA Champions League final on 26 May but Sérgio Conceição is not eligible to play having appeared for Lazio in the first group stage.
