Maltese champions Sliema Wanderers FC have confirmed Edward Aquilina as their coach for next season.

New Maltese champions Sliema Wanderers FC have confirmed that Edward Aquilina will continue as their coach next season.

Good working relationship
Aquilina was handed a new one-year contract just days after leading the club to their 25th league title. The 58-year-old said: "I am very pleased to have agreed to stay another season - working alongside a president like Sliema's Robert Arrigo is the best a coach can ask for."

Final job
Aquilina, who took over in summer 2002, added that his current job would be his last, saying: "I would also like to announce that my coaching career will end at Sliema."
