Italy round-up: Seedorf saves Inter

Serie A leaders Internazionale FC drew against second-placed Juventus FC on Saturday.

A stunning injury-time strike from Clarence Seedorf gave Serie A leaders Internazionale FC a 2-2 draw at home to second-placed Juventus FC on Saturday.

First place at stake
Juventus had looked set for a vital victory, which would have sent them above Inter into first place, after a header from Croatian Igor Tudor put them 2-1 in front with just nine minutes left.

Trezeguet header
The outstanding Seedorf had fired Inter in front just six minutes into a pulsating match when a clearance fell to him on the edge of the visitors' penalty area, but seven minutes later Marcello Lippi's side restored parity as French striker David Trezeguet rose to meet a Gianluca Zambrotta cross and head past Francesco Toldo for his 18th goal of the season.

Goal out of nothing
Tudor's header from a Pavel Nedved free-kick seemed to have settled the match but then out of nothing Seedorf fired a 30-metre drive into the top corner to save a potentially crucial
point for an Inter side chasing their first title since 1989.

Inter top table
Inter lead the table on 53 points with Juve a point behind while third-placed Roma, who face derby rivals S.S. Lazio on Sunday, have 50 points.
