Pochettino bounces back again

RCD Espanyol have re-signed Argentinian defender Mauricio Pochettino from FC Girondins de Bordeaux.

RCD Espanyol have re-signed Argentinian defender Mauricio Pochettino in a free transfer from FC Girondins de Bordeaux.

Previous spells
The 32-year-old centre-back spent six seasons at Espanyol after signing from Argentinian side CA Newell's Old Boys in 1994. In 2000 he joined Paris Saint-Germain FC, but returned to the Catalan club on loan the following year. After joining Bordeaux in 2003, he was again loaned to the Barcelona-based team last December and played 21 games as Espanyol finished 16th in the Primera División.

Three-year deal
The defender has agreed a three-year deal with Espanyol after he was granted a free transfer by Bordeaux last month. "Ever since I have first came to this club I have felt completely at home," Pochettino said. "It would be a dream to end my career here, although I hope it will be a long time before I think about retiring."
