France round-up: Govou keeps Lyon hopes alive

A late winner by Sidney Govou gave Olympique Lyonnais a precious 1-0 win against AJ Auxerre.

An injury-time winner by striker Sidney Govou gave Olympique Lyonnais a precious 1-0 victory at AJ Auxerre on Sunday.

Govou seals it
Govou outpaced the last Auxerre defender to slot the ball home from close-range three minutes into injury time and hand Lyon their first success on the road for three months.

Title decider
The victory narrows the gap on Le Championnat leaders RC Lens to just two points with three games left each. The two sides are set to meet on the last day of the season at the Gerland stadium in what looks sure to be a title decider.
