Primera División newcomers Levante UD have signed former Swiss international Fabio Celestini on a one-year loan from French side Olympique de Marseille.

Anigo arrival
The 28-year-old midfield player joined Marseille in 2002. His first-team opportunities were reduced after José Anigo replaced Alain Perrin as coach last January, though he did appear as a substitute in May's UEFA Cup final defeat by Valencia CF. Celestini was capped 31 times by Switzerland before retiring from international football following UEFA EURO 2004™.
