New recruits
The 27-year-old, who has spent his entire career on the island of Madeira, has agreed a three-year deal with Porto and will join a trio of other new recruits at the Das Antas stadium in the summer. Vitória Setúbal right-back Paulo Ferreira and the UD Leiria duo of Nuno Valente and Derlei, a left-back and striker respectively, have already penned moves.

UEFA Cup challenge
