Juventus – unbeaten at home in Serie A this term – overcome Empoli FC 2-0.
• Carlos Tévez scores the opener following an indirect free-kick inside the visitors' penalty box.

• Massimiliano Allegri's team remain 14 points clear at the top of Serie A.

• Second-placed AS Roma eke out a 1-0 home victory against SSC Napoli in the early fixture.
• Miralem Pjanić scores a 25th-minute winner, sidefooting beyond Mariano Andújar.
SS Lazio remain a point adrift of their city rivals following a 3-1 success at ten-man Cagliari Calcio.
