New men for Sebatspor and Sakaryaspor

News round-up: Turkish sides Akçaabat Sebatspor and Sakaryaspor have both named their new coaches.
Turkish Superleague sides Akçaabat Sebatspor and Sakaryaspor both named their new coaches today. Sebatspor are to reappoint former coach Sadi Tekelioglu, who will be unveiled officially tomorrow. The 49-year-old Tekelioglu guided Sebatspor to promotion to the top flight two seasons ago and subsequently coached Sakaryaspor before he was sacked last October. He replaces Mehmet Birinci who left the club yesterday.

Sakaryaspor have turned to Saban Yildirim to replace Necmettin Sert who left the club today. He actually led the club to promotion last season before making way for Sert. The 34-year-old Yildirim, who is best known for his playing days at Bursaspor, will be assisted by Ahmet Seçgin and Adem Besli. Yildirim's first task will be to win Sakaryaspor their first points of the season after the defeats in their opening five games.

Senegal midfield player Khalilou Fadiga has joined Bolton Wanderers FC on a short-term contract until the end of the season. The 29-year-old had been training with the English Premiership club after leaving FC Internazionale Milano. Fadiga joined Inter from AJ Auxerre in 2003 but did not play a match for the Milan club after a heart problem was detected. He underwent surgery in May to correct an abnormal heartbeat.

ACF Fiorentina striker Christian Riganò faces a month on the sidelines after hurting a thigh muscle in the opening game of the season against AS Roma. The 30-year-old, who struck 24 goals in Serie B last season, is expected to miss at least five Serie A games and his place will likely go to Javier Portillo, who joined Fiorentina on loan from Real Madrid CF during the summer.

In the Netherlands, FC Twente have lost midfield player Simon Cziommer for at least a month with a muscle injury. The 23-year-old German suffered the muscle tear in a match against Feyenoord and his absence was descrived as "a real setback" by coach Rini Coolen. NEC Nijmegen defender Peter Wisgerhof, meanwhile, faces a three-week lay-off after stretching a ligament in his right knee during Sunday's 1-0 defeat at FC Utrecht.
