Chapuisat joins Young Boys

Grasshopper-Club striker Stéphane Chapuisat has signed for Swiss first division club BSC Young Boys.
The former Swiss international striker Stéphane Chapuisat has signed for Berne-based first division club BSC Young Boys.

No new deal
Chapuisat was told in April that he would not receive a new deal at Grasshopper-Club, despite being named striker of the year and registering 44 goals in his three seasons there.

Three-year contract
The 32-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with the possibility of staying on after retirement as promoter of Young Boys' Wankdorf stadium.

1. Bundesliga first
In his eight years with Dortmund, Chapuisat became the first foreigner to score 100 times in the German 1. Bundesliga, while in international football he claimed 20 goals in 84 appearances.
