The former Swiss international striker Stéphane Chapuisat has signed for Berne-based first division club BSC Young Boys.

No new deal
Chapuisat was told in April that he would not receive a new deal at Grasshopper-Club, despite being named striker of the year and registering 44 goals in his three seasons there.

Three-year contract
The 32-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with the possibility of staying on after retirement as promoter of Young Boys' Wankdorf stadium.
