Albania round-up: Dinamo end 12-year wait

KS Dinamo Tirana were crowned Liga e Pare champions after a last-gasp 1-0 win at KS Vllaznia.

KS Dinamo Tirana were crowned Liga e Pare champions tonight after securing top spot with a last-gasp 1-0 win at deposed champions KS Vllaznia.

Long wait
Klodian Asllani scored the only goal of the game in the final minute for Dinamo, who pipped city rivals SK Tirana to the title by just one point to secure their 16th Albanian first division title. Tirana enjoyed a 4-1 home victory against KS Erzeni, but it mattered little as Dinamo celebrated their first title win since 1990.

European qualification
Dinamo will play in the UEFA Champions League first qualifying round next season, while Tirana will go into the UEFA Cup qualifiers.

Tomori relegated
KS Tomori have been relegated after suffering a 1-0 away defeat against KS Apolonia, Vaskë Ruko scoring the game's only goal after seven minutes.

Points shared
In tonight's other matches, KS Lushnja beat KS Bylis 4-1, KS Besëlidhja lost 1-0 at home to KS Teuta, while KS Flamurtari and KS Shkumbini, and KS Luftëtari and KS Partizani all shared the points in two goalless draws.
