Tirana scupper Dinamo party

KS Dinamo Tirana were denied a Liga e Pare and Kupa e Shqipërisë double by SK Tirana on Sunday.

KS Dinamo Tirana were denied a Liga e Pare and Kupa e Shqipërisë double today as city rivals SK Tirana clinched victory in the Albanian Cup final.

Solitary strike
Dinamo, who won the first division title last weekend, went into the match hunting a remarkable double against their great local rivals. But Tirana's Indrit Fortuzi spoiled the party at the Loro Borici stadium by scoring the only goal of the game in the 29th minute to clinch the cup for Tirana for the second season in succession.

European picture
It was also the eleventh time that Tirana have won the competition in their history. Tirana will now enter next season's UEFA Cup qualifying round along with KS Partizani. Champions Dinamo will play in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers, while KS Teuta, who ended the season in fourth place, will play in the UEFA Intertoto Cup.
