Switzerland round-up: Ten-man Thun down Zürich

FC Zürich suffered a surprise 1-0 home defeat at the hands of top-flight newcomers FC Thun.

FC Zürich suffered a surprise 1-0 home defeat at the hands of top-flight newcomers FC Thun in the Swiss Nationalliga A fifth round tonight.

Aegerter the hero
Silvan Aegerter scored the winning goal for Thun with a 22-metre free-kick in the 86th minute. It stunned the home crowd and meant Zürich remain in second place, six points behind Grasshopper-Club.

Ten men
The victory was all the more surprising because Thun had played for ten men since the 30th minute after defender Armand Deumi received a second yellow card.
