Streller cast out by Basel

Swiss Under-21 striker Marco Streller has joined FC Thun on loan from champions FC Basel.
Swiss Under-21 international Marco Streller has joined FC Thun on loan for the rest of the season from champions FC Basel.

Lagging behind
The 20-year-old striker agreed to the move after struggling to break into Christian Gross's squad this season. Streller is currently behind Christian Giménez, Julio Hernán Rossi, Hervé Tum and George Koumantarakis in the pecking order at the Saint Jakob stadium.

In reserve
Streller, who scored 16 goals for Basel's reserves last term, is expected to make his debut against FC St. Gallen this weekend.
