Leaders Club Brugge KV swept aside KRC Genk 4-0 as they continued to dominate events the Belgian first division on Saturday.

Stoica start
Trond Sollied's side raced into an early lead through Alin Stoica's 12th-minute goal and doubled their advantage when Gert Verheyen found the net ten minutes before half-time. Second-half goals from Olivier de Cock and Timmy Simons completed the scoring for Brugge, who now sit four points clear at the top.

Lierse slip
K. Lierse SK slipped into third place after being held to a 1-1 draw by ten-man R. AEC Mons on Sunday. Cedric Roussel headed Mons into the lead on 36 minutes but after Jean-Pierre La Placa was sent off for a crunching challenge on Jonas de Roeck. Arouna Kone restored parity with a powerful second-half drive.

Aarst double
In Sunday's other game, R. Standard de Liège ran out 3-1 winners at KSK Beveren through two goals from Ole-Martin Aarst and a third from Ali Lukunku. With six minutes remaining, Constant Kaiper pulled one back for Beveren, who subsequently slipped to 15th in the table.

Adelino opener
Saturday's other games included Sporting Lokeren St.Niklaas Waasland's 4-1 victory against bottom club R. Chaleroi SC. Eduardo Adelino opened the scoring after a quarter of an hour but Papy Kimoto's goal for the basement side levelled affairs on the stroke of half-time. Arnar Vidarsson set up Davy de Beule to restore the hosts' lead a minute after the restart and Arnar Gretarsson kept his cool from the penalty spot midway through the half before De Beule made it four.

Mpenza pair
Elsewhere, two goals from Mbo Mpenza helped R. Excelsior Mouscron to a 2-0 win at KFC Germinal Beerschot Antwerpen and KVC Westerlo claimed only their third win of the season with a 2-0 triumph against KV Mechelen.

Two for Goots
Meanwhile, Nenad Vanic's 42nd-minute penalty ensured AA Gent sank RAA Louviéroise, while Patrick Goots scored twice to give R. Antwerp FC all three points at KFC Lommelse SK.
