Bayer 04 Leverkusen have handed promising defender Jan-Ingwer Callsen-Bracker a contract extension until June 2007.

Skibbe happy
The 21-year-old, who has been at the club for eight years, has made eleven Bundesliga appearances over the last three seasons and will be part of the squad that competes in the UEFA Cup next term. Coach Michael Skibbe said: "We are happy Jan-Ingwer opted for us, as he had several offers. He has impressed in his appearances for the reserve team and he will get his chance."
