A late strike from Geoffrey Claeys denied K. Sint Truidense VV a home victory against R. Excelsior Mouscron.

High hopes
Before the game Sint-Truiden knew a win would have taken them second in the table behind leaders Club Brugge KV, but they had to settle for a 2-2 draw. The point means Sint-Truiden stay in fourth place, six points behind Brugge.

Mixed fortunes
Sint-Truiden were behind after 26 minutes to Koen De Vleeschauwer's long-range strike. The home side found an equaliser in the 65th minute, Desire Mbonabucya levelling after being played in by Danny Boffin. Sint-Truiden then took the lead for the first time in the match when Nicky Hayen struck a powerful shot.

Goalkeeper fumble
Yet a late error gave the visitors a share of the points. Sint-Truiden goalkeeper Dusan Belic, on as a 76th minute substitute for Marcos Pereira, fumbled the ball and allowed Claeys to fire in.
