Paris Saint-Germain FC suffered another setback in their quest to regain the French title they last won in 1994, losing 1-0 at home to 2001 champions FC Nantes Atlantique on Friday night at the Parc des Princes.
Armand on target
Sylvain Armand hit the only goal from a free-kick in the 31st minute. The result lifted Nantes up to ninth in the standings with 22 points, while PSG remain fourth, five points behind leaders OGC Nice who play Stade Rennais FC on Saturday.
It was PSG’s first league home defeat since January. In an eventful match PSG’s Martin Cadetti had a penalty saved by Mickael Landreau on the stroke of half-time, while both teams were reduced to ten men.
Nantes defender Jean-Hugues Ateba was sent off for a bad tackle on substitute Ronaldhino in the 65th minute while PSG's Hugo Leal was shown a second yellow eight minutes from time.
