Bosnia-Herzegovina Premier Liga leaders FK Leotar were forced to extend themselves in their 3-2 defeat of FK Rudar at the weekend.
Leotar were coasting after racing into a three-goal lead courtesy of goals from Sinisa Mulina, Branisla Krunic and Igor Joksimovic, but Rudar’s Predrag Divljak and Gojsko Pivac scored twice within four minutes in the second half to put the home side on the edge of their seats.
Leotar, however, held firm to stay four points clear of FK Sarajevo, who brushed aside NK Jedinstvo 5-1, and FK Zeljeznicar, who edged a 1-0 win over Široki Brijeg.
Hit for six
FK Sloboda were another side in the goals, running out 6-1 winners against last-placed NK Bosna. NK Orasje defeated FK Mladost 4-3, and FK Buducnost pulled off a surprise 2-1 win against fourth-placed NK Celik.
Elsewhere, FK Borac beat NK Zovko Zepce 3-0 while NK Zrinjski beat city rivals NK Velez 1-0, Mario Ivankovic scoring the only goal on 80 minutes. NK Brotnjo overcame FK Glasinac 3-0 and NK Posusje despatched FK Kozara 3-1.
