Centre-forward Alhassane Keita, a key figure in FC Zürich's title-winning campaign, has left the Swiss champions to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.

Key man Keita leaves Zürich

Centre-forward Alhassane Keita, a key figure in FC Zürich's title-winning campaign, has left the Swiss champions to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.

Alhassane Keita has left FC Zürich to join Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad.

Two-year deal
The Swiss champions have confirmed that the 23-year-old Guinea striker has signed a contract that will keep him at his new club until 2008. Keita was an integral part of Zürich's title-winning season, contributing 20 goals in 32 league games. The forward arrived in Switzerland in summer 2001 from OC Khourigba.
