Olaizola out for Mallorca

RCD Mallorca's Javier Olaizola is expected to miss the rest of the Primera División season.
RCD Mallorca will be without captain Javier Olaizola for the rest of the season after the defender underwent knee ligament surgery.

Six months out
The 33-year-old faces a six-month recovery period following the operation on the anterior cruciate ligament of his left knee. Olaizola, who has missed only one of 12 league games this term, suffered the injury in Sunday's 2-2 draw at RC Deportivo La Coruña which kept Mallorca in second place in the Primera División.

Olaizola 'devastated'
"I want to get back as quickly as possible," said the player, who is out of contract in the summer. "I am devastated because this is the first serious injury I have had in eight years with Mallorca."
