Germany round-up: Demo on the march

Igor Demo's goal gave VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach a 1-0 victory against Hannover 96 on Sunday.

A solitary goal from Slovakian Igor Demo gave VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach victory against Hannover 96 when the sides met in the 1. Bundesliga on Sunday.

Demo decisive
Demo scored his fourth goal in as many games on 15 minutes to ensure his side climbed to 13th in the table, while Hannover remain in the relegation zone.

Saviour Graulund
In the day's other game, a last-minute goal from Peter Graulund rescued a point for VfL Bochum 1848 as they came back to draw 1-1 with Hamburger SV, for whom Sergej Barbarez had scored a 56th-minute opener. Barbarez was later dismissed after picking up his second booking and Bochum captain Dariusz Wosz also had his game cut short, substituted midway through the first half with a suspected knee ligament injury.
