Double blow for Valladolid

Real Valladolid's veteran midfielder José Luis Caminero is set for an extended stay on the sidelines.
Real Valladolid's veteran midfield player José Luis Caminero is set for an extended stay on the sidelines after he tore a leg muscle in training.

Stuck on the sidelines
Though the full extent of the problem is not as yet known, the injury has ended the former Club Atlético de Madrid man's hopes of a first-team comeback for at least another month.

Niggling injuries
The last of Caminero's seven league appearances this term came in the 3-1 win at RC Recreativo de Huelva on 10 November. Since then he has suffered a series of niggling injuries which have kept him out of the side.

Olivera blow
Uruguayan forward Nicolás Olivera will join the 35-year-old Caminero on the treatment table and he too will not play until the new year after tearing a leg muscle. Valladolid lie 15th in the 20-team Primera Division, having lost 1-0 against Atlético on Sunday.
