Former Germany striker Carsten Jancker has agreed terms to join Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg after leaving Chinese outfit FC Shanghai Shenhua.

Former Germany striker Carsten Jancker has agreed terms to join Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg after leaving Chinese outfit FC Shanghai Shenhua.
Former Germany striker Carsten Jancker has agreed terms to join Austrian Bundesliga club SV Mattersburg.

Austrian return
The towering 32-year-old, who won the 2000/01 UEFA Champions League with FC Bayern München, previously played in Austria in 1995/96 with SK Rapid Wien, finishing as leading scorer in that season's UEFA Cup Winners' Cup with seven goals for the eventual finalists. He will undergo a medical on Saturday. Until last month Jancker was with Chinese side FC Shanghai Shenhua after leaving 1. FC Kaiserslautern in May.
