Norwegian side Molde FK have sold midfield player Karl Oscar Fjørtoft to Hammarby in Sweden for €67,000.

Free agent
The two clubs had been involved in lengthy negotiations over the 27-year-old, with Molde finally accepting a cut-price fee for a player who would have been able to leave on a free transfer on 15 April. Fjørtoft said: "It is no big deal for me. I have known for a while that I was going to Hammarby."

Four-year contract
Fjørtoft has signed a four-year contract at the Råsunda stadium, where he will replace Fredrik Winsnes who has returned to Norwegian champions Rosenborg BK after a one-year loan to the Stockholm team. Ironically, Fjørtoft joined Molde from Rosenborg four years ago.
