Former Ionikos FC favourite Miloje Klaevic has rejoined the Greek club as a free agent.

Former Ionikos FC favourite Miloje Klaevic has rejoined the Greek club as a free agent after being released by Cypriot side AEK Larnaca FC.

Sunday debut
The 35-year-old Yugoslavian defender has signed a six-month contract, with the option of a further six months, and is expected to make his debut in Sunday's Alpha Ethniki match against Aris Thessaloniki FC. Ionikos are 12th in the 16-team division, Aris sixth.

Memorable season
Klaevic formerly played for Ionikos from January 1995 until June 1999. His last season, under coach Sergio Markarian who is now at the helm of Panathinaikos FC, was a memorable one as Ionikos secured a place in the 1999/00 UEFA Cup. He left for Panionios FC and subsequently AEK after a year in Athens.
