VfL Borussia Mönchengladbach's German international striker Oliver Neuville will be on the sidelines for at least eight weeks after his adductor operation on Friday.

Operation
A persistent groin problem forced the 33-year-old to undergo surgery and club doctor Stefan Hertl has confirmed that Neuville will not be back until mid-March at the earliest, ruling him out of much of Mönchengladbach's current relegation struggle and making him a doubt for Germany's next UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifier in the Czech Republic on 24 March. "A more precise prediction is not possible at the moment," Hertl said.
