Clemente approval
The 33-year-old, a free agent since leaving the disbanded AC Fiorentina last summer, is to sign a contract that will keep him at Montjuic for the rest of the season. The two parties have agreed a deal that will go through tomorrow subject to a medical. Ex-Juventus FC favourite Torricelli, who can play on either flank, won over coach Javier Clemente during a week's trial.

Meanwhile, Espanyol are still in talks with UD Las Palmas over the transfer of the second division club's Spanish Under-21 international full-back Angel López. The Barcelona side's other signing of the winter transfer window, goalkeeper Toni Jiménez, made his debut in Sunday's 3-1 Primera División victory over RC Deportivo La Coruña.
