Successful spell
The 51-year-old former French international has won three trophies in under two years at the Istanbul club, also guiding the currently second-placed side to a guaranteed top three finish this term. He announced his decision to leave after the Turkish Cup success against Kayseri Erciyesspor last week but decided to bring his departure forward after Beşiktaş's championship hopes were ended in dismal fashion. A club statement said: "We met Tigana today and decided to end his contract. We are grateful to him for his efforts and wish him every success for the future." Assistant coach Tayfur Havutçu and administrative manager Ali Gültiken, both former Beşiktaş players, will take charge for the season's last two games.
