Captain Predrag Djordjević and Anastasios Pantos have both signed on for 12 more months as Olympiacos CFP prepare to return to the UEFA Champions League.
Club stalwart
A 34-year-old left winger, Djordjević has been with the Piraeus club since the summer of 1996 and captained his side to the title this season. In his eleven seasons in Greece, the Serbian has now won ten league titles and three Greek Cups, playing in 298 league games and scoring 112 goals. "My dream has come true," he said after signing his new contract. "I hope we can achieve bigger things next season."
Renewed commitment
Meanwhile, 31-year-old right-back Pantos has also renewed his commitment to the club he joined from Proodeftiki FC in the summer of 2003. In the last four seasons at Olympiacos he has played in 82 league games. The club recently released forwards Aruna Babangida and Ioannis Okkas as well as left winger Erol Bulut. They will play in the group stage of the 2007/08 UEFA Champions League.
