Cypriot champions APOEL FC have made their second signing of the summer, bringing in Portuguese midfielder Paulo Costa from Greek side Aris Thessaloniki FC.

Cypriot champions APOEL FC have made their second signing of the summer, bringing in Portuguese midfielder Paulo Costa from Greek side Aris Thessaloniki FC.

Portuguese contingent
The 27-year-old will arrive in Cyprus for medical tests on Friday having agreed a three-year contract. He is APOEL's second Portuguese signing since the end of the season following the arrival of 23-year-old central defender Nuno Morais from Chelsea FC. The two new signings join countrymen Ricardo Fernandes and Helio Pinto at the Nicosia club. Paulo Costa previously played for Sporting Clube de Portugal, FC Alverca, AC Venezia, FC Girondins de Bordeaux, FC Porto and Gil Vicente FC. Last season, Costa played 29 times for Aris scoring seven goals. APOEL will start their 2007/08 UEFA Champions League campaign in the first qualifying round.
