Title hat-trick
The 36-year-old, part of Greece's triumphant UEFA EURO 2004™ squad, has won the title in each of his three seasons since joining the Piraeus club in 2004 after 15 years at Panathinaikos FC. Olympiacos, who will represent Greece in next season's UEFA Champions League, said: "Following today's meeting between Olympiacos vice-president Giorgos Louvaris and Antonis Nikopolidis both parties have agreed to the extension of his contract." Nikopolidis made 28 appearances last season, as well as six in the UEFA Champions League, as Olympiacos finished ahead of AEK Athens FC to lift the Greek title for the tenth time in eleven campaigns.
