Donadel, who agreed to extend his current deal with the Serie A club by a further three years said: "I'm very happy here in Florence - it feels like home and I have many friends here." The 24-year-old, who like Italian international Alessandro Del Piero hails from Conegliano in north-east Italy, was restricted to 19 league appearances in 2006/07 but has completely recovered from the thigh injury that ruled him out for five months. Formerly at AC Milan, US Lecce, Parma FC and UC Sampdoria, Donadel joined Fiorentina in January 2005 and has since made 67 appearances for the Viola, scoring once. He was also part of the Italy squad that triumphed at the UEFA European Under-21 Championship in 2004.
