Sevilla FC have extended midfielder Alejandro Alfaro's contract at the club until June 2011 as they prepare for UEFA Champions League action.

Academy graduate
The 21-year-old's deal was due to expire in 2009 but he has been given another two years to impress after joining the first team from the reserves in 2005. Since then he has played five Primera División games for Juande Ramos's side. The UEFA Cup winners finished third in the Primera División this season, also lifting the Copa del Rey, and will enter the UEFA Champions League in the third qualifying round.
