Sevilla spell
The 28-year-old forward will be presented by the side on Tuesday alongside another new signing, William Lima, as he marks his return to Andalusia eleven years after first leaving. On the books at Sevilla FC as a youngster, José Mari joined Club Atlético de Madrid in 1997 and spent two-and-a-half seasons in the capital before linking up with AC Milan. He returned to Spain in 2003, joining Villarreal, for whom he scored eight times in 113 league appearances though he has saw his first-team chances reduced by the summer arrival of Giuseppe Rossi, Jon Dahl Tomasson and Santi.
