Benito Floro has agreed to extend his contract as coach of Villarreal CF until the end of next season.
Floro's current deal was due to expire on 30 June this year but, with a place in the Primera División all but assured, the Villarreal directors made renewing their coach's contract a top priority, with club president Fernando Roig having already announced that Floro was his first choice to control the team next season.
Villarreal are likely to play in the UEFA Intertoto Cup this summer, and the directors have already announced that there will be few changes in the squad ahead of the new campaign as the club is looking to develop young talent for the future.
