1. Lig leaders Galatasaray SK were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw by Antalyaspor on Sunday.

Galatasaray SK missed the chance to further extend their lead at the top of Turkey's 1. Lig when they were held to a 1-1 draw by Antalyaspor at the Atatürk stadium on Sunday.

Late equaliser
Galatasaray appeared to be cruising to victory after Berkant Göktan had put them ahead in the 75th minute, but Antalyaspor striker Saffet Akyuz levelled in the final minute to deny the league leaders. Galatasaray will rue dropping two points after second-placed Besiktas JK were held to a goalless draw at home to struggling Samsunspor on Saturday.

Ankaragücü into fourth
MKE Ankaragücü climbed up to fourth place in the table with a hard-fought 1-0 away win against relegation-threatened city rivals Gençlerbirligi SK. In a game of few clear cut chances, Tayfun Turkmen's 71st-minute strike proved to be the only goal of an entertaining encounter at the 19 Mayis stadium. Gençlerbirligi are now in 14th place, just two points clear of bottom-place Yozgatspor.

Yozgatspor stay bottom
Yozgatspor took the lead in their away match against third-bottom Malatyaspor but eventually lost 2-1, as both sides finished the match with ten men. Cem Karaca, who was both the hero and the villain for Yozgatspor, gave the visitors the advantage on the stroke of half-time but was then sent off midway through the second period. Malatyaspor hit back with goals from Ulusoy Fazli and Alexander Loebe, before forward Mithat Yavas was dismissed.

Istanbulspor lose ground
In Sunday's other match, Istanbulspor AS lost ground on the leading teams when mid-table Göztepe held them to a 0-0 draw. To make matters worse for Istanbulspor, Andre Pinto was shown a red card after 33 minutes, leaving his team to hang on for a share of the spoils.
