In a rearranged fixture, Cameroonian striker Bernard Tchoutang equalised for the hosts, cancelling out an earlier strike from Irakly Modebadze. It was an appropriate way to mark the reopening of the Lokomotiv arena after 13 years - it becomes Metalurh's seventh home stadium in as many years.
Work completed this week
The construction of the stadium was finished in 2001, but the pitch was out of condition until the end of this summer. Metalurh had hoped the stadium would be available for their UEFA Cup clash against SV Werder Bremen, which they drew 2-2, but it was only completed this week.
