Lengthy meeting
Barça, who have the right of appeal, learned of the decision after a lengthy meeting which stretched into the early hours of this morning. Gaspart action
Barcelona spokesman Fernando Sequeira confirmed that the RFEF had also decided to take disciplinary action against the club's president, Joan Gaspart, after he accused Figo of provoking the fans by slowly clearing away bottles from around the corner flag as he prepared to take his kick. An investigation into those comments has been launched.
