MyPa go for experience

Members

Myllykosken Pallo-47 have signed the experienced utility player Jukka Ruhanen ahead of the 2003 season.

Valuable experience
Runners-up last term, MyPa are hoping to go one better in 2003 and recruiting Ruhanen is seen as a major factor in this. "He is a very experienced player," said coach Juha Malinen. "Jukka would be a valuable addition to any squad since he can play in practically any position on the pitch." The 32-year-old has made 320 league appearances scoring 73 goals.

'Step forward'
Ruhanen has signed a one-year deal with the option of a further 12 months if both parties agree. He spent last season at FC Haka before a short spell in England with non-league Canvey Island FC. "I'm really happy," said Ruhanen. "A contract with MyPa is a great step in my career." The 2003 campaign begins on 15 May.
