The 22-year-old, who narrowly missed out on a place in Spain's squad at UEFA EURO 2004™, has just completed a two-year loan from FC Barcelona and has now agreed to stay on at the Madrigal until June 2012. As part of the deal, Brazilian left-back Juliano Belletti is set to move in the opposite direction.
Plenty of experience
Reina has represented Spain at various youth levels and kept goal for his country in their 1999 UEFA European Under-16 Championship success. Reina played all 38 of Villarreal's Primera División matches this season, while also featuring in their UEFA Intertoto Cup run last summer that won them a UEFA Cup place
