Petrovic returns to Litex

Ljubomir Petrovic has been named coach of Bulgaria's PFC Litex Lovech, 12 months after leaving for FK Crvena Zvezda.

'Delighted'
The 55-year-old Petrovic spent six months at Litex during the 2003/04 season and led them to victory in the Bulgarian Cup. "We are delighted Petrovic has decided to return," Litex technical director Stoicho Stoilov said. "He is a proven coach. He has signed a one-year contract with an option for another 12 months."

Bulgaria return
The famous Serbian, who masterminded Crvena Zvezda's European Champion Clubs' Cup triumph in 1991, leads a Bulgarian club for the fourth time having also enjoyed two successful spells at PFC Levski Sofia in 1999 and 2001. He replaces Itzhak Shum, who quit Litex earlier this month.

Kodric appointment
Meanwhile, PFC Beroe Stara Zagora have named Croatian Hans Kodric as their new coach. Kodric succeeds veteran Ivan Vutov, who has stepped down but will remain at the club in some capacity.
