Injury problems
The 27-year-old striker becomes Fulham manager Roy Hodgson's tenth signing of a busy summer, agreeing a four-year deal at Craven Cottage after fears about an ankle injury were allayed following a scan last week. That was among a spate of fitness problems that inhibited Johnson during his two-season stay at Goodison Park, limiting him to 17 goals in 61 Premier League appearances.

Hodgson happy
The former Birmingham City FC trainee had been far more prolific at Crystal Palace FC, however, scoring at a rate of more than a goal every two games between 2002 and 2006 and Fulham will hope his return to London can rekindle that form. "I have made no secret of my wish to add Andy Johnson to my squad," said Hodgson. "I believe he has all the qualities needed to assist us in next season's campaign."
