There was little to choose between Juventus and AS Roma as Vincenzo Iaquinta and Francesco Totti were both on target in a 1-1 draw in Turin.
In a lively match, Iaquinta gave the Bianconeri the lead with a spectacular volley on 35 minutes after being picked out by former Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani. However, on the stroke of half-time the Giallorossi drew level when Simone Pepe handled the ball in the area and Totti scored his first league goal of the season from the resultant penalty. The draw takes Juventus into fourth place, level on points with FC Internazionale Milano, while the capital club stay sixth.
Earlier in the day, ACF Fiorentina returned to winning ways with a 1-0 triumph against strugglers AC Cesena. Alberto Gilardino pounced on 59 minutes to register his fifth league goal of the campaign and take the Viola up to ninth, eight points behind leaders AC Milan, who face Inter in the Derby della Madonnina on Sunday.
