A late Bafétimbi Gomis goal earned ten-man Olympique Lyonnais a 2-2 draw at home against Paris Saint-Germain FC that prevented their opponents from going top of Ligue 1.

PSG must have thought they were heading for the summit when Guillaume Hoarau converted from the spot eight minutes from time, particularly with Aly Cissokho having been shown red for the foul on Nenê that led to the penalty. Nenê had earlier headed the capital side level following Cissokho's 54th-minute opener, but he and his team-mates were ultimately left frustrated after a miscued clearance from goalkeeper Apoula Édel allowed Gomis a free run on goal.

The draw leaves PSG in third, a point shy of leaders Olympique de Marseille and one better off than eighth-placed Lyon. A spot lower than Claude Puel's men in ninth, FC Sochaux-Montbéliard recorded a handsome 3-0 triumph away to second-bottom SM Caen, while AJ Auxerre suffered a first league reverse in six matches when they succumbed 2-1 at home against Toulouse FC.
