Bruno Grougi scored twice as Stade Brestois 29 moved level with the Ligue 1 pacesetters thanks to a 4-1 home victory against struggling RC Lens.

Brest were two up within 20 minutes of the rescheduled match through Romain Poyet and defender Paul Baysse's first goal of the season, the initial encounter between the pair having been abandoned at half-time on Saturday because of snow. Though Eduardo reduced the visitors' arrears before the break, Grougi's strikes on 65 and 80 minutes confirmed Brest's first win in four league games.

Brest are level on 25 points with Olympique de Marseille and LOSC Lille Métropole. OM can pull clear on Wednesday by defeating Stade Rennais FC, only two points behind themselves, in their game in hand. Lens, meanwhile, remain second bottom, a point from safety.
