Real Sociedad de Fútbol are searching for a new coach after confirming that Martín Lasarte will not be in charge of the Liga club next term.
Under the 50-year-old's leadership, the Basque team finished the 2010/11 Spanish season in 15th position, two points clear of the relegation zone. Lasarte arrived in San Sebastian from his homeland of Uruguay in summer 2009, having previously been in charge of Danubio FC, and made and immediate impact by guiding Sociedad to promotion as second tier champions.
After a promising start to this campaign – Sociedad were ninth at the turn of the year – things began to unravel in the second half of season and they only preserved their top-flight status on the final day of campaign with a 1-1 home draw against fellow strugglers Getafe CF.
