LOSC Lille remain without a victory since their opening Ligue 1 game as second-half goals from Julien Feret and Romain Alessandrini gave Stade Rennais FC a 2-0 success.

Rudi Garcia was sent to the stands late on as his side, who were also shocked 3-1 at home by FC BATE Borisov in their UEFA Champions League Group F opener nine days ago, failed to arrest their loss of form ahead of Tuesday's trip to Valencia CF.

Feret (64) prodded Rennes in front after Mickaël Landreau had parried Jonathan Pitroipa's effort. LOSC almost levelled immediately when Aurélien Chedjou struck the bar but their fate was sealed when Alessandrini fired in a spectacular drive from 30 metres. Both sides now have seven points, 11 shy of pacesetters Olympique de Marseille
